Betty has worked in small and large companies throughout
Australia and overseas in Hong Kong and Malaysia. She has worked
in many areas ranging from vocational psychology, statistics, management
consulting, adult training, and private psychological consultations.
She particularly enjoys facilitating personal
development programs for groups. With her passion
for the work of mothers, and her love of psychology, Betty developed
the Being a Mother workshop drawing on her many skills and range of
experiences.
The lack of recognition of mothers work in today's
society prompted Betty to develop this innovative approach to reinforce
individual mother's sense of self-acceptance, and make a difference
to their lives, and that of their children, family and community.

About Suzanne
Suzanne Leech is the Events
Manager for the VIP Events for Mums hosted by Beingamother. She has
achieved success in the event and marketing fields in organizing
national conferences, and events focused on businesses, themes and
social events. Suzanne also has over 12 years experience in retail
management in fashion and accessories, business development and store
design.

Suzanne traded meetings,
conferences, recruiting and continual business activities with nappies,
feeding, sleep deprivation and the excitement and challenges of watching
her child grow up. This “new job” made Suzanne ask: “Why shouldn’t
mothers get together, have meetings, share ideas in their new jobs as
mothers?” She wanted to create a greater sense of awareness and
importance of supporting mothers within the community.
Suzanne wants to ensure that by
bringing mothers together it will allow them to have some time totally focused
on them. It’s about being a mother and allowing them to relax, support one
another, reflect and share their motherhood experiences with each other.
